Pastoral Care & House System

Imperial International School Ipoh embeds its Student Support Programmes within the whole school pastoral care programmes. These include EAL and additional needs support for students. The school pastoral care system allows students to have a sense of safety, security and wellbeing.

At Imperial International School Ipoh, we believe that psychological wellbeing underpins all successful learning. We feel that our students will benefit in the long term from learning how to care for their own emotional health.

The counsellors support students across the Primary and Secondary schools in numerous ways using a range of age-appropriate techniques.

Houses - Building Community Spirit

All students attending Imperial International School Ipoh will be allocated to a House. The House system aims to give students an identity and sense of pride in a supportive, secure environment. It has the following added benefits:

  • It increases opportunities for student leadership
  • It allows students to gain house points for a variety of positive learning and behavioural attitudes
  • It allows students to participate in a variety of activities that are non-academic and non-athletic
  • It can be a source of positive peer-pressure
