Muhammad Arif is a graduate with Degree of Mobile Application and Networking from Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech Mara. He has occupational exposure in an educational institution especially in computer networks and systems maintenance.
Arief is an enthusiast of education management and services. He has more than 12 years of experience in both secondary and tertiary- level education. His experience ranges from library services, career guidance, customer service, student recruitment, social media and digital marketing. His previous working roles have brought him to every nook and cranny of Malaysia, engaging people from all walks of life to promote the importance of education.
Arief holds a Higher National Diploma in Software Engineering and currently finishing his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Management. Prior to joining Imperial International School Ipoh, Arief was a member of Education Advancement Professionals Committee of Malaysia representing one of the international schools in Ipoh.
Fazila holds a Diploma in Education and is currently pursuing a degree in Educational Administration. She has been teaching for over 23 years. Throughout her tenure as a teacher, she is always committed to bring an inspiring and hands-on learning experience to the students. Fazila has strong organisational skills and ability to work well and communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
Fazila began her teaching career in a prestigious international school in Ipoh as a Year 1 homeroom teacher. Fazila has been teaching Malay Language to students between the ages of 6 and 12. In addition to being an educator, Fazila is active in other school activities and constantly strives to contribute to school improvement. Her quality of being a responsible, meticulous and accurate person has earned her the position as the school’s Examination Officer.
Fazila is also an activist in defending the fate of abandoned animals. She believes that not only does an individual need to have a good education but there must be a caring attitude toward all living things.
With her ability and commitment, Fazila will always ensure that students learn something new every day and explore the world through fun learning. She will also ensure that students can relate what they are learning in school to the real world.
Lilly graduated from Quest International University, Perak completing her Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as Second Language (TESL). She worked as a trainer in an educational institution where she trained the teachers in teaching methodology.
Being exposed to many different styles of teaching over the years, she is highly capable in delivering lessons based on students’ learning style. Lilly is highly enthusiastic and passionate teacher who is driven by her love for teaching. She aims to help students to grow in confidence and develop their love for learning through creative and personalised approaches.
Jamunaa completed her Bachelor of Computer Science (Computer Systems & Networking) with Honours at University Malaysia Pahang (UMP). Subsequently, she completed her Masters of Science (Computer Science) at University of Science (USM). She has taught both Cambridge and National syllabuses for the past 3 years. She has been teaching Mathematics and ICT in various levels, as well as Additional Mathematics for KS4.
Jamunaa has handled school events, led students for competitions and programmes outside the school and has assisted in internal exams, Checkpoints and IGCSE. She is a strong believer in the concept of fun learning by incorporating songs to spark the creativity within students.
Cheryl Lee is a graduate with a Diploma in Music from SEGi College Subang Jaya. Starting her education in music at the age of 5, she was awarded the Licentiate of the London College of Music in Pianoforte performance (LLCM) from University of West London and her secondary instrument, the Flute by the Trinity College of Music, London with Distinction. She also passed with Merit in Music Theory under The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
She is currently a committee member of the Kinta Valley Symphony Society as well as the Principal Flutist of Kinta Valley Wind Orchestra. An active and experienced performer, she regularly takes part in a variety of different performances including orchestras, flute solos, piano solos and piano accompanist events.
Mr. Tristan is from the ‘Land Below the Wind’ (Sabah). He came to Perak to further his tertiary education at Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) in Tanjung Malim. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) with Honours. Mr Tristan has vast experience in teaching English and Literature at the Cambridge Lower. Secondary level for the past 3 years at his previous school. His passion for the Literature subject has led him to create his very own Literature program at the Lower Secondary level that would prepare students for the IGCSE Literature in English subject. As a young teacher with a heart in educating young minds, he believes that his students should strive academically and socially in a positive learning environment to be global citizens.
Mr. Calvin hails from the ‘Silver Valley’, Ipoh. Born and raise there, he pursued his tertiary education at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Kampar. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with(Honours).Mr. Calvin has accumulated vast knowledge and adept in the special needs sector for 3 years in his previous centre. He has spent a number of years working with youth groups to develop their core values. He strongly believes children should be given equal opportunities to learn and grow dynamically. Through his passion, he’d like to inspire, discern students need and develop programs to ensure their success.
Siew Cheng joined Imperial International School Ipoh as the Administrative Manager in August 2019. Before joining Imperial, Siew Cheng has worked for Westlake International School for more than 5 years. Her previous roles include Head of Examination and Assistant Head of Academic Administration. She was appointed as the Exam Officer who worked closely with Cambridge Assessment International Education and was responsible for the administration and conduct of the Cambridge assessment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics.
She is committed to help students become confident, responsible, innovative so that they are ready to tackle the demands of tomorrow’s world; while being capable of shaping a better world for the future.
Noor Asilah is a graduate with Diploma holder in Nursing from KPJ International Nursing College, Malaysia. She is a registered nurse with over 9 years of experience as a Cardiac Nurse in a clinical settings and providing medical-surgical nursing care to diverse population at National Heart Institute of Malaysia. She was the Nurse Mentor Trainee and has demonstrated leadership skills and training skills. In addition, she held the position as Infection Link Nurse. She has a wealth experience and understanding of pathophysiology and pharmacology of acutely and critically ill patients. She is certified and highly skilled to perform Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) during medical emergency related to cardiac arrest issues.
Miss Katherine Beadle was educated and started her career teaching in the U.K. She graduated from the University of Winchester with a Bachelor’s 2:1 honours Degree in Drama with Dance studies. She then went on to graduate from the London Metropolitan University with a PGCE qualification in Secondary teaching, specialising in English, Drama and Media studies.
As well as her 11 years teaching in London schools, Katherine has taught in Malaysia for 5 years as Head of Performing Arts and SLT for Teaching and Learning.
Katherine believes for a child to be a successful learner, the teacher must create a positive learning environment and have empathy with the learners, nurturing trust and ensuring emotional well-being. Her main aim is to improve the quality of education provided in private schools, by training teachers to diversify teaching and learning methods.
International mindedness is fundamental to education in the 21st century. The future depends on the children of today and educational establishments have a responsibility to model and promote, not only to accept each other’s differences in appearance, language, culture and religion but to celebrate, value and respect them as their own.
Mogantheren, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with Honours in Finance and Diploma in Accountancy. He has been teaching for 11 years in both National and Cambridge Syllabus. He has served as Head of Business, Technical and Creative Department and a Senior Leader of Student Affairs. His ability to teach is not just limited to Business Studies and Accounting, as he is also an experienced Mathematics teacher. Mogan’s passion for board games, made him to be able to guide students for National Chess Competition. He believes that engaging learners with passion and patience is the key of success.
Leong has worked for Sekolah Menengah Poi Lam (SUWA) for over 6 years, holding various positions. He was the Deputy Head of Academic Department for 3 years, taking on the role of Head of Examination, trainer for New Teacher Programme and assessor for teacher. For the year 2018 and 2019 he was appointed as the Deputy Head of Quality Assurance Department. Additionally, he was an ISO 9001 Lead Internal Auditor for the school for 5 years.
Even though Leong holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Banking and Finance, his passion in pursuing fun and science in classrooms has led him to a 6-year teaching experience in Cambridge IGCSE Physics and Cambridge Lower Secondary Science. He believes that curiosity and creativity in children should never be ignored. Because of that, his teaching often incorporates “how’s” and “why’s” to stimulate thinking, reasoning and judgement skills.
Madam Kok has a degree in Business Administration from New York, USA. She’d been teaching in a Chinese Independent Private School for 11 years. She pursued a Diploma of Education in curriculum and teaching in 2010 because she wanted to be sure that her lessons and teaching methods benefit her students. She’s familiar with IGSSE Chinese First Language, Chinese as a Second Language, Mandarin Foreign Language and English as a second Language (ESL). Leveraging her 11 years of teaching experience in teaching and coaching, mentoring, junior, middle and senior leadership, she has contributed highly to helping students meet their curriculum goals, and provide them with a wider view of perception.
Megala has a diploma in Cambridge International Teachers Training (CIDTT). She is an organized professional with proven teaching and guidance skills, who possess 16 years of experience in teaching Cambridge syllabus and International Primary Curriculum (Fieldwork Education).
She is recognized for the ability to develop and implement differentiated activities in lessons that improve students’ learning and understanding skills. She maintains a strong record in evaluating the lessons and practice effective teaching methods in class. Her goal is to ensure that effective teaching and learning take place in all her lessons by doing evaluation and reflection of the lessons frequently so that students will have the best and improvised lessons for their better understanding.
Mr Cheng Hon Keong has a passion for teaching. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Science (Hons) Biotechnology and a Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning (CICTL). He has 10 years of teaching experience in the Malaysian National Syllabus and Cambridge International Syllabus. Biology and Chemistry are his forte.
He was appointed as the Head of Science Department and eventually the Vice Principal of Student Affairs in his previous school. During his tenure, he has developed counselling skills which has been a great value in nurturing young lives. He believes in lending a listening ear to students in order to walk alongside them to improve as a person.
Mr Cheng is convinced that students learn best in social settings when they have fun and engaged in practical, real life activities. Consequently, these activities help build self-esteem, instill character and encourage a global outlook in every student.
